At Edu Kids Early Learning Centre, the health and well-being of every child is our highest priority. Immunisation is a vital step in safeguarding children, educators, and the broader community from vaccine-preventable diseases.
In January 2016, the Victorian Government introduced the “No Jab, No Play” legislation to improve childhood vaccination rates and minimize the spread of infectious diseases.
Before enrolling your child at Edu Kids, it’s essential to provide their Immunisation History Statement from the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) to verify that their immunisations are up to date in line with the National Immunisation Program schedule.
By adhering to these guidelines, we ensure a safe and healthy environment for every child in our care.
If you have any questions about our immunisation policy, requirements, or exemptions, we are here to help.
We aim to make this process as straightforward as possible. Below are the available options for accessing your child’s immunisation records:
Log in to your myGov account to view and print your child’s Immunisation History Statement.
Download the Express Plus Medicare app to access and print your child’s immunisation details directly from your device.
Request a copy by calling 1800 653 809. Statements can be posted to you, but please allow up to two weeks for delivery.
Visit a Medicare or Centrelink office to obtain a printed copy in person.
If you require assistance in a language other than English, you can contact the translating and interpreting Service at 131 450 , Monday to Friday, 8:30 am–4:45 pm.
Vaccinations play a critical role in safeguarding not just your child but also the entire community.
Immunisation protects children from life-threatening diseases like measles, polio, whooping cough, and meningitis by helping them build immunity.
When most of the population is vaccinated, it creates herd immunity, making it difficult for diseases to spread and protecting those who cannot be vaccinated.
Vaccines help prevent outbreaks of infectious diseases, reducing hospitalisation and saving lives.
Vaccinations not only prevent acute illnesses but also improve long-term health. Some vaccines, such as the HPV vaccine, can protect against cancers caused by infections.
Immunisation is a cost-effective solution, saving families and communities from the financial burden of treating vaccine-preventable diseases.
At Edu Kids, we are committed to creating a safe and supportive environment for your child. If you have questions about your child’s immunisation status or need help obtaining the necessary documents, don’t hesitate to reach out to our friendly team.
